Stage 5

We have reached the Empty Quarter! With an 118km special that sounded straight forward, was a rather long day in the dunes, with +600km to get to Shubaytah for the start of the Chrono Stage tomorrow.

The 48-hour Chrono Stage, begins with a time crunch to get as far along the route as possible before pulling into the closest bivouac for the night. With no service, no assistance, and minimal camping materials, the riders rest for the night, before they set off again at sunrise, racing all the way back to Shubaytah.
