The sixth edition of the Dakar Rally, taking place from 5 to 17 January 2025 in Saudi Arabia, promises to be one of the toughest yet. Covering nearly 8,000 kilometres—over 5,000 in specials—the route begins in Bisha and ends in Shubaytah, pushing competitors to their limits. The harrowing 48-hour chrono stage, now at the start of the race, flows straight into the marathon stage, immediately shaping the competition.
In the second week, the dunes of the Empty Quarter will challenge participants before the finish in Shubaytah. With more than 45% of the specials featuring separate routes for added safety, this year’s rally will combine intense navigation and endurance, culminating at the final podium on 17 January.
